Brie & Truffle Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients for 1 serving(s):

  • 220 grams of potatoes (brown) (weigh after peeled)
  • 40 grams of unsalted butter
  • 18 grams of cheese (brie) (remove the rind)
  • 16 grams of whole milk
  • 1.8 grams of salt
  • 0.5 grams of truffle oil (Truff brand)

Instructions:

  1. Start by filling a large pot with water and setting the heat to high.

  2. As the water begins to heat, peel the potatoes and cut them into chunks.

  3. Once cut, add the potato chunks to the boiling water. Boil them for 20-30 minutes, adjusting the time based on the size of the chunks, until they are fully cooked and tender.

  4. While the potatoes are boiling, prepare the unsalted butter and brie cheese. Ensure the rind is removed from the brie before weighing it out for use.

  5. In a separate container, combine whole milk, salt, and truffle oil to create a flavorful mixing solution.

  6. After the potatoes are cooked, strain them and return them to the pot. Incorporate the prepared butter and brie, followed by the whole milk solution. Use a hand mixer to blend the ingredients until the mixture is fully integrated and the potatoes reach a fluffy consistency.

  7. Serve the potatoes as is or with an option for brown gravy on top. They are delicious both ways.
