Brown Gravy
Ingredients for 1 serving(s):
- 0.8 grams chicken bouillon
- 3.8 grams beef bouillon
- 168 grams water
- 0.8 grams onion powder
- 0.5 grams garlic powder
- 1.9 grams soy sauce
- 60 grams cold water (for slurry)
- 6.5 grams cornstarch (for slurry)
- 11 grams unsalted butter
Instructions:
Combine chicken bouillon powder, beef bouillon powder, water, onion powder, garlic powder, and soy sauce in a pot over low-medium heat. Stir until everything is dissolved and well mixed.
In a separate cup, prepare the slurry by mixing cold water with cornstarch. Whisk until smooth and free of clumps. Add this slurry to the pot with the gravy mixture.
Incorporate unsalted butter into the gravy pot, stirring until it melts into the mixture.
Bring the gravy to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to maintain a low simmer. Continue stirring frequently until you're ready to serve.
