Brownies de Chloé

Ingredients:

  • 170 grams of unsalted butter (melted)
  • 400 grams of granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 8 grams of vanilla extract
  • 28.3 grams of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 28.3 grams of dark cocoa powder
  • 140 grams of all-purpose flour
  • 2.84 grams of salt
  • 2.3 grams of baking powder
  • **Optional:** Kosher sea salt (sprinkle on top before baking)

"Yields: 1 (8x8-inch) pan of brownies, about 9-12 servings"

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Gently add the unsweetened cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder directly into the wet mixture. Stir carefully with a spatula or spoon until just combined—do not overmix.

Step 3: Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. If desired, sprinkle lightly with kosher sea salt for added flavor and texture.

Step 4: Bake in preheated oven (350°F / 175°C) for 25-30 minutes, checking after 25 minutes. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out with moist crumbs attached (avoid baking until completely clean).

Step 5: Let brownies cool completely in the pan. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before slicing for cleaner edges.

Step 6: Slice into squares and enjoy!
