Green Beans with White Cheddar Sauce

Ingredients for 1 serving:

  • 66 grams of fresh trimmed green beans
  • 0.9 grams of salt
  • 0.1 grams of garlic powder
  • 0.1 grams of red pepper flakes
  • 26 grams of water
  • 0.8 grams of chicken bouillon
  • 1.8 grams of flour
  • 10 grams of sharp white cheddar

Instructions:

  1. Begin by snipping the ends off the green beans, and discarding the trimmings.

  2. Place the trimmed green beans in a large pan. Add salt, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes, but do not heat the pan yet.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine water, chicken bouillon, and flour. Whisk the mixture well until there are no clumps. Pour this solution over the green beans in the pan.

  4. Now, heat the pan over low to medium heat. Cook the mixture until the green beans are nearly as soft as you prefer. At this point, sprinkle the shredded white cheddar over the green beans and continue heating until the cheese has melted. Stir well to ensure the cheese is evenly distributed throughout the green beans.

  5. Once the cheese is melted and the green beans are cooked to your liking, turn off the heat. Serve the green beans.
