Jalapeno Cream Sauce

Ingredients for 1 serving(s):

  • 35 grams jalapenos
  • 35 grams white onions
  • 2 grams olive oil
  • 105 grams heavy cream
  • 2.5 grams corn starch
  • 0.8 grams salt
  • 0.1 gram pepper

Instructions:

  1. Start by cutting off the ends and removing the center from the jalapenos. Then cut jalapenos and onions into thin strips about 1/4" wide. Add these veggies to a medium pot. Add olive oil to the pot and heat to medium/high.

  2. Saute the veggies until fairly soft with some char. Once the veggies are almost soft enough for your liking, reduce the heat to low.
    While waiting for the veggies to char/saute, start the next step.

  3. In a bowl, add heavy cream, cornstarch, salt, and pepper together. Whisk well until there are no clumps. Once mixed, add this mixture to the pot with the onions and peppers.

  4. Continue to cook on low until the sauce is thickened. Then remove from heat. Serve over grilled chicken or beef for an excellent addition to your entrees.
