Jalapeno Popper Dip

1 serving makes an 8" diameter circular dish about 2" deep

Ingredients for 1 serving(s):

  • 226 grams cream cheese
  • 250 grams sour cream
  • 170 grams cheddar cheese
  • 78 grams parmesan cheese (for the dip mixture)
  • 57.6 grams jalapeno
  • 103 grams green chiles
  • 38.2 grams panko bread crumbs
  • 51 grams unsalted butter
  • 27.5 grams chives
  • 46 grams parmesan cheese (for the topping)

Instructions:

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (about 200°C). This ensures the oven is ready for baking as soon as your dip is prepared.

  2. In a medium bowl, use a mixer or a whisk to beat together the cream cheese and sour cream until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.

  3. Into the smooth cream cheese base, fold in the cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese (for dip mixture), diced jalapeños, and green chiles. Stir the mixture until all the ingredients are well combined and evenly distributed.

  4. Prepare the topping in a separate medium bowl by combining the bread crumbs, melted butter, parmesan cheese (for topping), and chopped chives. Mix these ingredients together until the breadcrumbs are fully coated with the butter and cheese.

  5. Grease a pie dish to prepare for the dip.

  6. Transfer the cream cheese mixture into the greased pie dish (or a baking dish if preferred). Use a spoon or spatula to spread the mixture evenly.

  7. Evenly sprinkle the prepared breadcrumb mixture over the top, ensuring an even coverage for a uniform golden crust.

  8. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling around the edges and the bread crumbs are golden brown.
