Rice (basic white)

Ingredients:

  • 132 grams of water
  • 80 grams of rice (parboiled style)
  • 12 grams of unsalted butter
  • salt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Bring water to a boil in a pot, using the amount of water specified for the rice you are cooking. Add parboiled-style rice and unsalted butter, then reduce the heat to a simmer and cover. Stir occasionally until the water has evaporated and the rice is fully cooked.

    • If serving the rice plain, it will need salt added to taste. The amount of salt varies depending on the dish accompanying the rice, so adjust according to your preference or the needs of the accompanying dish.
