Tomatillo Sauce
Instructions:
Begin by removing the husks from the tomatillos. Boil them in water for 20 minutes, then remove them from the water and transfer them to a blender.
Add the remaining ingredients to the blender and blend until well combined.
Transfer the blended tomatillo sauce to a pot and simmer for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together and the fresh produce to soften.
After simmering the tomatillo sauce for at least 1 hour, taste for heat level. Due to varying spice levels in jalapenos, you might find the sauce needs more kick. If so, blend additional pureed jalapeno with a small portion of the sauce to achieve your desired spice level, then stir this back into the main sauce pot. Adjust gradually to avoid making the sauce too spicy for your liking.
Serve the sauce drizzled over your favorite tacos, enhancing their flavor with this spicy, tangy tomatillo sauce.
